Job summary

Collegium Charter School's CCST seeks a Vocal Music Director to support the Spring Musical. You will teach vocals to all cast members and assist rehearsals, coordinating with the Choreographer and Instrumental Music Director to ensure smooth cuts and timing.

The ideal candidate will have theatre production experience, be able to read and teach vocal/instrumental music, and work effectively with students, parents, and staff. Part-time/seasonal role; school calendar and safety clearances apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with theatrical productions (plays and musical) as a performer or production team member is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and teach vocal and instrumental music from a theatrical work as needed.
• Ability to work as part of a production team and maintain a professional working environment.
• Clearances include Criminal Background (Act 34), Child Abuse (Act 151), and FBI Fingerprint (Act 114) dated within one year of receipt.
• Meets criteria for employment in PA Public School.

Responsibilities

• Enforces the CCS Student Code of Conduct, Uniform Code, and Computer Usage Code.
• Promotes good citizenship and acts as a role model.
• Maintains confidentiality of school and student information, progress, and records.
• Assists CCST Director with production of the annual spring musical.
• Coordinates with the Choreographer to communicate cuts to pit orchestra musicians.
• Attends and assists with all scheduled rehearsals.
• Instructs vocal music parts for players in the cast.
