Job summary

Collegium Charter School's CCST Jr. program seeks a Music Director to support the director and PAC Coordinator in producing the Spring Musical, teach vocals, conduct pit orchestra, and lead rehearsals as needed.

The role may be split into two positions at the PAC Coordinator's discretion. The successful candidate will maintain a professional climate that promotes student growth, collaborate with choreographers and production staff, and ensure auditions, rehearsals, and performances run smoothly

Qualifications

• Experience with theatrical productions, preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and teach vocal and instrumental music from a theatrical work.
• Ability to collaborate with production team and maintain a professional environment.
• Clearances (Act 34, 151, FBI) dated within one year.
• Meets criteria for employment in a PA Public School.

Responsibilities

• Enforces the CCS Student Code of Conduct, Uniform Code, and Computer Usage Code.
• Promotes good citizenship through actions as a role model.
• Conducts themselves according to professional, ethical principles.
• Maintains confidentiality pertaining to school and student information.
• Assumes other responsibilities assigned by supervisor or administrator.
• Abides by CCS Employee Manual, policies and procedures, and PA Public School expectations.
• Assists CCST Jr. Director with production of annual fall play or spring musical.
• Coordinates with Choreographer for cuts to pit orchestra musicians.
• Attends and assists with all scheduled rehearsals.
• Instructs vocal music parts for players in the cast.
• Instructs pit orchestra parts for instrumental students.
• Recruits additional performers for the pit orchestra.
