Job summary

The VOCA Grant Program Specialist partners with subgrantees to implement funded projects while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. This role conducts monitoring activities, provides consultation and technical assistance, and helps ensure grant funds are used effectively and responsibly. Funding is provided through federal grants from the U.S.

Department of Justice. A Bachelor's degree is required, though substantial relevant experience may substitute.

• Coordinate with state and federal partners to support aligned grant administration.
• Draft monitoring reports that communicate findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Contribute to federal reports by compiling programmatic and fiscal information.
• Support grant boards through meeting preparation, materials, and follow-up.
• Maintain audit-ready grant files and documentation.

TITLE: VOCA Grant Program Specialist

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SUPERVISOR: Director of Victims Services

SALARY: $42,000 - $48,000, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY: The VOCA Grant Program Specialist partners with subgrantees to successfully implement funded projects while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. This role conducts monitoring activities, provides consultation and technical assistance, and helps ensure grant funds are used effectively and responsibly. EDUCATIONand EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degreerequired, although substantialrelevant experience may substitute for educationat the discretion of the Executive Coordinator.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

• Experience with grant administration, compliance, auditing, or program oversight is preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to grant programs is preferred.
• Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and policy guidance and apply them to real-world situations.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)required; experience with databases or grant management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Access,OKGrants, Workday) is helpful.
• Experience with basic budgeting, bookkeeping, or financial review is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, andmaintainaccuraterecords.
• Ability to analyze information,identifyissues, and develop practical recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships whilemaintainingappropriate oversight.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion andmaintainconfidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s licenserequired.
• Ability to travel statewide, including occasional overnight travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required totalk and hear. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to sit and reach with their hands and arms and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. The employeeis occasionally required tostand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust and focus, and the ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
