Job summary

The VOCA Grant Program Specialist partners with subgrantees to implement funded projects while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. This role conducts monitoring activities, provides consultation and technical assistance, and helps ensure grant funds are used effectively and responsibly. Funding is provided through federal grants from the U.S.

Department of Justice. A Bachelor's degree is required, though substantial relevant experience may substitute.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, substantial relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience with grant administration or program oversight is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with databases or grant management systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and desk monitoring reviews to evaluate subgrantee compliance and performance.
• Build productive working relationships with subgrantees while maintaining oversight and accountability.
• Review financial and programmatic documentation to ensure proper use of grant funds.
• Deliver guidance to applicants and subgrantees on grant requirements and compliance expectations.
• Coordinate with state and federal partners to support aligned grant administration.
• Draft monitoring reports that communicate findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Contribute to federal reports by compiling programmatic and fiscal information.
• Support grant boards through meeting preparation, materials, and follow-up.
• Maintain audit-ready grant files and documentation.
