Job summary

The State of Florida’s Office of the Attorney General seeks a Grant Specialist V in Tallahassee, FL. This role supports the Victims Assistance Grant Administration Fund and requires extensive administrative and grant management experience.

Qualifications include six years of related administrative experience or a bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience. Preference given for grant management experience; pay listed annually. OAG offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of administrative experience in accounting, banking, accounts receivable, payroll processing or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of administrative experience in accounting, banking, accounts receivable, payroll processing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Completes special projects and assignments as directed.
• Reviews grant applications to ensure compliance with the grant program.
• Manages VOCA grants, including conducting desk audits and reviews for program compliance and preparing reports of findings and corrective action.
• Reviewing and recommending approval for change requests and invoices submitted by subgrantees.
• Providing technical assistance to subgrantees on program requirements.
• Monitoring budgets, expenditures, and reporting requirements of subgrantees.
• Assisting in the implementation of grants management, including budget, expenditure, reporting and correspondence requirements of the grant program.
• Preparing periodic progress and evaluation reports on grant activities.
• Related duties as required.
