Job summary

Stanbridge University in California is seeking an experienced Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program. The role leads academic and operational performance, ensuring excellence in instruction and student outcomes, with a focus on licensing success and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will guide curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and continuous program improvement, while managing budgeting, reporting, and site-visit readiness within a mission-driven campus

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school.
• Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred.
• Minimum of four years of RN experience.
• At least one year in teaching or clinical supervision (last five years).
• Three years in nursing administration or nursing education (last five years).
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated leadership with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Compensation based on education, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the VN program.
• Ensure BVNPT regulations and accreditors' standards compliance.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty.
• Lead curriculum design, updates, assessments, and alignment with standards.
• Monitor student performance metrics and implement data-driven interventions.
• Ensure quality clinical placements with partners and the coordination team.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and allocation of instructional resources.
• Prepare and submit reports for BVNPT and accreditors; lead site visit readiness.
• Represent the program in professional communities and with partners.
