Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking an Assistant Program Director – VN Program in Irvine, CA. The role reports to the Campus Program Director of the Vocational Nursing Program and involves planning, development, and oversight of the VN program.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree (nursing/education/administration), have CA BRN licensure, and at least three years of leadership in a nursing program, including online teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Masters or higher degree in nursing, education, or administration.
• Minimum of three years leading a nursing program.
• Minimum one year teaching in online environment.
• Four years of direct patient care as RN within last five years.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
• Assists with preparing data and other materials for state and Board requirements, reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits.
• Assists with identifying outside resources for the nursing program.
• Assesses the agency's ability to provide clinical experience meeting objectives.
• Ensures Facility Approval Applications are completed and approved before clinical rotations.
• Ensures timely completion of student evaluations by faculty.
• Maintains evaluations by students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty.
• Assists with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
• Keeps students' records updated per policy.
