Responsibilities include preparing required state and board materials, coordinating clinical rotations, and ensuring timely student evaluations and records. Requires a master’s degree and BRN license with several years in nursing education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in nursing, education, or administration.
• Minimum three years leading a nursing program.
• Minimum three years as full-time faculty in pre- or post-licensure nursing.
• Minimum one year teaching in an online environment.
• Minimum four years of RN direct patient care in geriatrics, med-surg, psych, obstetrics, or pediatrics in the last five years.
• Active California BRN license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, development, and evaluation of the VN program.
• Prepare data and materials for state, board reports, surveys, and site visits.
• Identify and obtain outside resources for the nursing program.
• Ensure timely faculty evaluations, student records, and rotations.
• Support strategic planning and instructional initiatives to improve quality.
• Teach theory or clinical topics for at least half of the time.
• Communicate policies and ensure graduation and licensing exam readiness.
