Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts Fresno is seeking an experienced LVN or RN Clinical Instructor for our Vocational Nursing Program on the Fresno, CA Campus. This part-time position offers AM or PM shifts, with hourly pay of $35–$45, and involves teaching in both didactic and clinical settings.

Key duties include teaching assigned classes, coordinating with didactic and clinical faculty, supporting the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator, and maintaining knowledge of medical education

Qualifications

• BVNPT requires Bachelor’s degree for LVN and RN for faculty candidates.
• Instructor shall have or be currently attending a course offered by an approved school in teaching.
• Must meet requirements of either A or B for RN or LVN faculty candidates.
• Minimum of three years experience as RN or LVN within the last five years.

Job Type: Part-time Shift: AM or PM, Monday Through Saturday Hourly Pay Range: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes in a Didactic OR Clinical setting for our Vocational Nursing program.
• Meet with didactic and clinical faculty members to discuss program development.
• Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in the organization of the program and implementation of the program’s standards.
• Maintain continuous knowledge of medical education and assure about the facilities continuous medical education requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• The BVNPT is requiring a Bachelor’s degree for LVN and RN for faculty candidates
• An instructor in a vocational nursing program shall have or be currently attending a course offered by an approved school in teaching; and shall meet the requirements of: Subsection A or B, below:
  • (A) Registered Nurse: Hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse; and
  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of one year full‑time teaching experience in a state approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or met community college or state university teaching requirements in California; and
  • Have a minimum of three years experience as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse within the last five years
  • (B) Licensed Vocational Nurse: Hold a current California active license as a Vocational Nurse; and
  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of one year full‑time teaching experience in a state approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or met community college or state university teaching requirements in California; and
  • Have a minimum of three years experience as a vocational nurse within the last five years
