Job summary

CHCP Houston Northwest campus seeks a Vocational Nurse Adjunct Instructor (PRN) to join our nursing faculty onsite. The role focuses on delivering curriculum, mentoring students, and upholding program standards. Requirements include a BSN or higher, an active Texas RN license, at least three years of clinical nursing, and pediatric/OB experience for lectures.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Texas RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Pediatric and/or obstetric clinical experience required for lecture instruction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom instruction following the approved curriculum.
• Prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed for success in vocational nursing.
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic achievement.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
• Ensure compliance with CHCP policies, nursing program standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a mentor and professional role model for students.
