Job summary

CHCP is seeking an Adjunct/Temporary ADN Instructor to support nursing students through tutoring and remedial skills clinics at the Houston Northwest Campus.

The role emphasizes strengthening nursing knowledge, developing clinical skills, and fostering confidence to help students progress through the ADN program. Teaching experience in nursing education is preferred and the position is on-site with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing preferred
• If degree is in another field, a BSN with at least 6 graduate-level nursing credits
• Demonstrated teaching ability and current clinical knowledge
• 3+ years of nursing education teaching experience preferred

Position Summary

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking an Adjunct/Temporary ADN Instructor to provide academic support to nursing students through tutoring and remedial skills clinics. This role will help students strengthen their nursing knowledge, develop clinical skills, build confidence, and successfully progress through their program.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support for assigned ADN courses and subjects

• Lead remedial skills clinics to help students strengthen clinical competencies

• Reinforce course concepts and assist students with understanding challenging material

• Identify areas where students may need additional academic or skills support

• Provide guidance and mentorship related to academic and professional expectations

• Create a supportive, engaging, and positive learning environment
