Job summary

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) invites applications for an Adjunct/Temporary ADN Instructor to support nursing students through tutoring and remedial clinics at the Houston Northwest Campus. This role focuses on strengthening nursing knowledge, developing clinical skills, and guiding student progression in the ADN program, with up to 20 hours per week on-site.

Applicants must hold Texas RN license and a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (or BSN with 6 graduate nursing

Qualifications

Demonstrated teaching ability and current clinical knowledge.
3+ years of nursing education teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide tutoring support for assigned ADN courses and subjects.
Lead remedial skills clinics to help students strengthen clinical competencies.
Reinforce course concepts and assist students with understanding challenging material.
Identify areas where students may need additional academic or skills support.
Provide guidance and mentorship related to academic and professional expectations.
Create a supportive, engaging learning environment.
Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and educational standards.
Support student success and progression within the ADN program.
