Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced VMware and Windows Server Administrator to provide operational support for the customer’s enterprise environment. This role includes daily operations and project work for Windows and VMware environments, with on-call coverage from 8-5 ET and a 24/7 schedule.

The ideal candidate has strong scripting skills in PowerShell, experience with vSphere/VMware, Windows Server, and familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. U.S.

Qualifications

8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 12 with a HS diploma.
Hands-on experience with compute infrastructure supporting physical, virtual (VMware), and cloud environments.
Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems and VMware vSphere.
Proficient in VMware vRealize Suite and Windows OS administration.
Create and maintain technical documentation for supported systems.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, implement, and recommend changes to existing technologies and new technologies.
Maintain virtualization infrastructure including provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, automation, and maintenance.
Maintain environment stability through regular hardware/software patching and upgrades.
Ensure compliance of all hardware, equipment, and configurations.
