Job description

Job Title: VMware Admin

This position involves managing and maintaining VMware environments, including vCenter, ESXi licensing upgrades, virtual machine creation, and performance tuning. The role also requires managing Windows operating systems, disaster recovery exercises, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting various technical issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience with virtualization, system upgrades, backup and recovery, hardware coordination, and support within a systems environment. They should be willing to work periodically during evenings and weekends to support upgrades and patch management.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing VMware vCenter, ESXi licensing, and virtual machine operations.
2. Managing Windows servers, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and FSMO roles.
3. Creating and maintaining VM templates, performing hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting.
4. Supporting disaster recovery exercises and system upgrades.
5. Coordinating with vendors for hardware support and replacement.
6. Providing level 3 support and troubleshooting within systems environments.
7. Documenting activities and procedures according to company standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience with VMware virtualization and Windows server management.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours as needed.

Additional Details:
