Job description

Candidates MUST reside in the state of Florida or be willing to relocate. This is a fully remote position; however, occasional on-site, after-hours/weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with implementation teams to ensure implementation meets design.
2. Expert level with 8+ years of experience implementing, and supporting highly available enterprise infrastructures.
3. Expert-level with 8+ years’ experience in private cloud computing and Data Center virtualization using VMware (ESXi, vCenter, NSX, VDI).
4. Expert-level Installing, Configuring & Managing VMware ESXi 5.x, 6.x and 7.x Servers.
5. Expert-level Installing, Configuring & Managing VMware Virtual Center / Appliance 6.x and 7.x.
6. 8+ years of experience with server administration of VMware 5.x/6.x, Windows Server (2008 R2/2012 R2), and hands-on experience deploying Blade Systems preferably Cisco B-Series.
7. 3+ Years of VDI and VMware Horizon View deployment experience with focus on infrastructure and performance tuning.
8. Experience with converged and hyper-converged server platforms preferably Cisco Systems, but would consider Nutanix/VXRAIL or other appliances and platforms.
9. Extensive experience with the following storage technologies and protocols: HBAs, SAN, Fiber Channel, NAS, and CIFS/NFS/iSCSI. Preferably Tintri but would consider EMC or others.
10. In-depth understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, server virtualization, and Active Directory integration.
11. Experience in a multi-domain environment, preferably with sites across WAN connections.
12. Must have VMware Certifications (VCP5 or VCP-DCV and VCP-NV).

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

1. Very Strong knowledge of VMware Products (vCenter 6/7, ESXi 6/7, vSAN, Insight 4x, NSX-T) installation, configuration, Management and troubleshooting.
2. Strong Experience with VMware automation, scripting, PowerShell, power CLI.
3. Strong technical knowledge of Cisco UCS Blade Chassis.
4. Strong technical knowledge of UCS Manager.
5. Strong technical knowledge of hardware configuration, support and maintenance.
6. Strong technical knowledge of Networking, Storage, DNS, NTP, SQL, Microsoft AD.
7. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Performance management, Capacity management, Monitoring Trends, Root Cause Analysis skills and Operational Support.
9. Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Operating System administration.
10. Linux Operating System installation and management.
11. VMware vCenter Management.
12. VMware ESX/VSphere knowledge and experience with Storage Area Networks including EMC and Tintri.
13. HPSM, BMC Remedy, Service Now or similar ticketing & escalation systems.

Qualifications and Certifications:

1. 8+ years of combined infrastructure experience is preferred.
2. Experience with medium to large VMware environments, 200+ ESXi hosts or 1500+ virtual servers.
3. Experience in large Cisco UCS environments, 200+ blades.
4. Storage administration as it relates to host and VM placement and performance.
5. VMware VCP-DCV and VCP-NV.
6. Cisco CCNA Cloud.
7. AWS and or Azure.
8. Windows2008/2012/2016 Certification.
9. ITIL v2 or v3.
