Job Summary:

The Nutanix/VMware Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Nutanix and VMware-based solutions. Your expertise in virtualization technologies will be essential in ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Nutanix and VMware-based virtualization environments.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement scalable virtualization solutions.
3. Optimize and fine-tune virtualized environments for performance, efficiency, and resource utilization.
4. Implement and manage storage, networking, and security configurations within the Nutanix/VMware infrastructure.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization platforms, ensuring system availability and stability.
6. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for technical support and solution enhancements.
7. Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices related to Nutanix/VMware environments.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist in knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. 2 years of hands-on experience working with Nutanix and VMware virtualization technologies.
3. Proficiency in designing and implementing Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, and related components.
4. Strong understanding of storage, networking, and security concepts within virtualized environments.
5. Experience in scripting and automation tools for virtualization management (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
7. Relevant certifications such as Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are advantageous.
