Job summary

Airgas is hiring a VMI Tech/Sales Support Specialist in Danville, IL. You will service vending accounts, manage cabinets and storerooms, and perform basic troubleshooting of vending systems. The role focuses on existing accounts with cross-training to support Outside Sales.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and at least 2 years in product distribution or inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product distribution or inventory management.
• Proficient working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and service key vending account customers and cabinets inventory.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Cross-train to assist Outside Sales as needed.
• Delivery and replenishment to customers of industrial products and vending items.
• Review and reorder stock levels at multiple plant departments.
• Maintain branch inventory and process delivery tickets and conformance with pricing and PSA workflows.
