Job summary

Airgas is hiring a VMI Tech/Sales Support Specialist in Danville, IL, offering $25 per hour with overtime eligibility. The role focuses on servicing existing vending accounts, delivering and replenishing inventory, and supporting the outside sales team as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product distribution or inventory management.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and replenish to customers of various industrial products.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and repairs mechanical vending systems as needed.
• Reviews manual stock levels of various inventories at multiple plant departments for reorder.
• Maintains dedicated branch inventory levels for proper replenishment.
• Tracks and turns in delivery tickets and consignment fill tickets.
• Fosters exceptional internal relationships by supporting the sales force and delivering professional, accurate quotes.
• Translates sales data and margin analysis, as well as usage reports, into actionable insights for account managers using SAP and BW systems.
• Guides and streamlines special pricing and cost requests from the sales team.
• Provides comprehensive PSA management and contract review, coordinates sales deal pricing in PAW, and works alongside account and district managers to implement effective pricing strategies.
• Prepares business reviews and performance metrics to help account managers shape successful sales strategies.
• Collaborates with the dispute workbench team to resolve customer pricing inquiries smoothly and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.
