Airgas in Danville, IL is seeking a VMI Tech/Sales Support Specialist to service vending accounts and maintain inventory across branches. You''ll troubleshoot simple mechanical issues and ensure timely deliveries while supporting the Outside Sales team with quotes and pricing.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, accurate data handling in SAP systems, and a focus on customer satisfaction and efficient pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Must have a valid US driver''s license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product distribution or inventory management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starter; able to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and replenish items to customers’ vending accounts and storerooms.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical vending systems.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder inventories across multiple plant departments.
• Maintain branch inventory and support sales with quotes and pricing analyses.
• Use SAP/PAW/BW to translate data into actionable insights for account managers.
• Prepare business reviews and performance metrics for sales strategy.
• Collaborate with dispute workbench to resolve pricing inquiries.
