Job summary

Vallen Distribution in Freeport, TX seeks a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I to deliver and manage inventory at customers' sites. You will perform storage, distribution and fulfillment tasks for merchandise, parts, supplies and equipment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year warehouse or delivery experience, a valid driver's license, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. On-site duties emphasize safety and accuracy with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Valid driver's license in line with company standards.
• Willingness to learn and handle semi-routine assignments.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work under supervision.
• Ability to understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Demonstrated teamwork and professional client-facing demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive company vehicles to deliver to customer sites in a safe, compliant manner.
• Ensure accuracy of shipments and order fulfillment.
• Assist with VMI space setup and stock placement at customer sites.
• Track orders from Vallen warehouse to customer delivery and setup.
• Scan barcodes to generate customer orders and maintain inventory levels.
• Support 5S and housekeeping in VMI areas and communicate status to management.
