Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator II to join our team. You will deliver and manage inventory at customer sites, handling tasks from storage to order fulfillment and setup at the customer location.

Responsibilities include driving company vehicles under DOT standards, ensuring shipment accuracy, and assisting with VMI space placement. A high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience are required, with a valid driver’s license and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 4 years' relevant experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Valid driver's license that complies with Vallen's standards.
• Willingness to learn and work on semi-routine assignments.
• Must be a self-starter who can work with supervision.
• Ability to understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Willing to gain knowledge of company products and represent Vallen professionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to designated locations following DOT standards.
• Ensure shipment accuracy and proper handling from warehouse to customer site.
• Assist with VMI space setup and stock placement at customer sites.
• Track orders from pickup to delivery and setup at site.
• Take spot buy orders when needed and relay to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes to generate customer orders.
• Maintain VMI point of use areas and communicate with supervisor and sales team.
• Monitor min/max and reorder points and report observations to management.
• Recommend changes to customer inventory levels based on usage.
• Perform occasional inventory counts and support barcode label accuracy.
