The Queen's Health Systems in Hawaii seeks a Records Specialist to obtain information from patients, families and medical staff to prepare and file birth and death certificates. You will also serve as a liaison to the Department of Health and other agencies, ensuring accurate vital statistics reporting.

Minimum education is a high school diploma with Bachelor’s preferred, RHIT certification preferred, and 1 year of experience in vital statistics or medical records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RHIT certification preferred.
• 1 year of experience in vital statistics or hospital medical records.
• Prior experience releasing medical information.
• Knowledge of Hawaii laws pertaining to birth and death certificates.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
