Job summary

Department of Health seeks an Assistant Records Analyst to support statewide records management, death registration and data quality efforts. You will assist with inquiries, amendments, and issuing certified copies while coordinating with city/town clerks and facilities.

The role requires familiarity with records management, ability to identify and classify data, and carrying out routine record management tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with records management program aims and purposes.
• Ability to identify, classify and appraise data; prepare reports and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by answering calls and guiding death records requirements.
• Assist 39 cities/towns and facilities with death records processes and amendments.
• Process certified copies of vital records and ensure identity/eligibility compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of work, queues, and follow-ups.
• Support data quality by reviewing death record information for completeness and consistency.
