Job summary

The Arizona Department of Health Services seeks a Registry Section Manager to supervise the Vital Records Registry and ensure timely, accurate processing of birth, death, and fetal death records.

You will draft and track legal documents, assist with fraud investigations, and coordinate with agency legal counsel and external partners to maintain compliance with governing statutes and rules. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supervising staff in a public sector environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of statutes, policies and procedures related to Vital Records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct subordinate staff performing Vital Records Registry activities and supervise customer service functions.
• Draft, vet, finalize and track legal documents such as denials, warrants, subpoenas and court orders.
• Develop policies and desk manuals; ensure compliance with statutes and rules.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to support the program.
