Urban Outfitters in Walnut Creek is seeking a Visual Merchandising Manager to lead the store's visual strategy and department display efforts. You will collaborate with the Display Artist and department managers to create an inspiring environment that aligns with the UO brand while driving sales and maintaining standards.

The role emphasizes team leadership, talent development, and hands-on merchandising execution, including planning, budgeting, and optimizing the customer experience in-store.

Qualifications

• 3+ years store visual merchandising and leadership experience.
• Strong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial results.
• Experience with floor planning.
• Proven record of developing great talent.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Brand Experience: create engaging visual experiences reflecting the brand values with the Display Artist and Department Managers.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences that are engaging and personalized.
• Lead in-store marketing, activations, merchandising, and store team support to drive sales.
• Leadership + Team Management: recruit, mentor, and train department/display staff; coach on standards and processes.
• Set clear objectives and coach on store processes, placement, and visual standards.
• Inspire the team through creativity, empowerment, and individualized motivation.
• Visual + Business Operations: manage visual direction from planning to execution within budgets and timelines.
• Use store data to identify opportunities and optimize sales and customer experience.
• Coordinate shipments and omni processes to expedite product to customers and manage sell-through.
• Communication + Relationships: share product knowledge and brand messaging in daily team meetings; maintain cross-functional communication.
