Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a dedicated Visual Merchandiser to design and implement engaging store displays and interior layouts that enhance the shopping experience. You will coordinate furniture, lighting and accessories, rotate seasonal products, and ensure consistency with company visual standards.

You will mentor staff, maintain merchandising areas, and collaborate with management on visual needs and new product launches, while staying informed on trends.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in retail store visual merchandising, preferably in home furnishings.
• Regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to transport loads of 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Implement a visual merchandising strategy that supports sales goals.
• Create visually appealing displays, coordinate layouts for furniture, lighting, and accessories, and rotate seasonal products.
• Remerchandise displays, signage, POS, and showroom areas to maximize sell-through.
• Maintain store appearance, assist with lighting, fixtures, paint, and flooring in collaboration with management.
• Tag merchandise, coordinate shipments, and participate in inventory processes.
• Adhere to Visual Leadership standards and engage staff in visual maintenance.
• Develop product knowledge and keep up with fashion trends.
• Mentor staff on merchandising basics and communicate visual standards.
• Coordinate with store management on tasks, visuals, and new product arrivals.
