DEPT® is seeking a Principal, Visual Design to lead world‑class design across websites, branding, UX and content. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, push conventions, and elevate our creative strategy while mentoring the design group.

The role requires a user‑centered approach, keen attention to detail, and leadership to steer complex projects from kickoff to delivery on time and within budget. You’ll shape outcomes through vision and practical execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Mastery of Figma (components, variants, auto layout) and familiarity with Hubspot, Google Suite, Slack.
• 5+ years of design and interactive work for leading brands, including 2+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of visual, UX, interaction design and design systems.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead and mentor the creative team.
• Define and implement design strategies with high standards.
• Generate strategic insights and moodboards for innovation.
• Drive complex digital projects from kickoff to completion within budget and deadlines.
