  • Design and maintain a monitoring system for housing repair requests.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to streamline project implementation and maximize impact.
  • Plan and execute events, fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement.
  • Prepare grant proposals to fund critical housing services.
  • Utilize platforms like Hubspot, Wix, Canva, Microsoft Project Plans, SharePoint to support management.

Job description

We serve all veteran and military service members, spouses, and dependents and will serve as a collaboration space connecting them with other Veteran Service Organizations.The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, energetic, self-disciplined, and tenacious veteran ambassador with a clear understanding of the needs of veterans and their family members within the community on a cultural, social, and economic level.The VISTA will have opportunities to develop skills in operations management, leadership experience, public speaking skills, project management success, personal accountability, community partnership visionary skills, process improvement, and interpersonal skills to support the core services the chamber provides to all veterans, their family members, and community partners.This VISTA needs to be agile, flexible, and open-minded to change as we mold and shape the position with a “building from ground zero” mentality upon assuming roles.The goal of the VISTA is to support the navigation network hub for veterans, military serving members, and their families in matching community resources for education, housing for heroes, Veteran & family-owned business, workforce management, and family & wellness services.The VISTA will play a critical role in combating poverty by supporting housing stability initiatives for veterans and their families- many of whom face significant barriers related to housing insecurity, lack of affordable homeownership options, and insufficient access to repair resources for aging or unsafe homes. By coordinating and building the infrastructure around these services, the VISTA will help address the root causes of poverty and create lasting pathways to economic security for those who have served our nation.

Member Duties :

  • Utilize project coordination skills to track the progress of housing-related tasks and create and implement processes ensuring strategic alignment with housing navigation services goals.
  • Lead projects that increase access to stable and affordable housing for veterans, including the Tiny Homes Project.
  • Develop and launch a comprehensive plan to help veterans and their families engage with experts on utilizing VA home loan benefits.
  • Design and maintain a monitoring system for housing repair requests.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to streamline project implementation and maximize impact on veteran households experiencing housing-related financial hardship.
  • Plan and execute assigned responsibilities for events, fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare grant proposals that fund critical housing services.
  • Utilize technology platforms Hubspot, Wix, Canva, Microsoft Project Plans, SharePoint, etc. to support project management and communication.
