Job summary

Arts Commission in Flagstaff, AZ seeks a Visitor Services Lead Associate to provide exceptional visitor service, operate cash handling, and lead on duty in the absence of the VS Manager. You will help coordinate tours, programs, and events, ensure a welcoming first impression, and uphold museum policies.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage opening/closing and daily admin tasks while working Friday through Tuesday, with occasional evenings and early shifts

Qualifications

• Services in customer service, cash handling, and event management is required.
• Ability to work weekends and some evenings and early mornings.
• Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle visitor operations in public spaces, including visitor services, retail operations, cash handling, group tours, gallery patrol, public programs and rentals.
• Deliver superior customer service with a gracious welcome and museum orientation.
• Act as manager on duty when the VS Manager is absent and provide on-site leadership 7 days a week.
• Open and close the Museum when scheduled and support setup/teardown of events.
• Support planning and execution of public programs and special events.
• Check in visitors with reservations, answer questions, process memberships, and enforce policies.
• Monitor galleries for policy adherence and security of the museum and its collections.
• Assist customers with sales and restocking in the Gift Shop.
• Complete admin tasks such as scheduling, calendar maintenance, reports, and document edits.
• Perform other duties as needed.
