Job summary

The National Centre for Padre Pio in Kentucky welcomes applicants for a Visitor Attendant and Group Coordinator to warmly greet pilgrims and coordinate group visits. Based at the Welcome Desk, you will assist visitors, manage inquiries, and support sacristy preparations and special events.

You will lead tours, maintain records, and speak to groups with courtesy and poise, upholding the Centre’s Catholic mission. Strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• FBI background check and child safety clearances required.
• Practicing Catholic with understanding of Catholic worship and devotional practices.
• Letter of good standing from parish priest required.
• High school diploma and valid driver’s license required.
• Bachelor’s in theology or catechetical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open/close procedures for facility as needed.
• Welcome visitors; answer questions about facilities, programs, events.
• Coordinate group reservations, itineraries, and correspondence; greet groups.
• Lead tours and presentations for adult and youth groups.
• Maintain visitor and group records.
• Request letters of suitability from visiting priests outside the diocese.
• Assist with hospitality for programs and events.
• Support sacristy preparations and liturgical functions.
• Participate in public prayer and livestreamed devotions as assigned.
