Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Visitor Screening Ambassador to act as the customer service informational resource for patients, families and visitors as they enter the hospital. You will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure patient and visitor satisfaction.

Responsibilities include greeting patients and visitors, providing service information, assisting with the visitor management program, and handling high volumes of calls while coordinating transportation and escort

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service (1 year +) and communication skills.
• Phone and computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and visitors with accurate information about services.
• Manages visitor screening and data entry; tracks visitor location and potential temperature checks.
• Accesses daily patient schedules and locations; provides appointment information as needed.
• Handles a high volume of calls from patients, visitors, vendors and staff; arranges transportation as needed.
• Distributes PPE to employees, patients and visitors.
