Kentucky Science Center is seeking a Visitor Services Representative to be the first contact for our visitors and to deliver a friendly, informative experience across admissions, gift shop, theater, concessions, and information desk. This part-time role supports a seven-day operation with flexible hours.

The position pays $16 per hour, with a 16–29 hour weekly schedule, and offers benefits like an employee membership, free parking, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to a positive visitor experience.
• Able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
• Flexible schedule: seven-day operation.
• Team player with high emotional intelligence.
• Commitment to our mission and service philosophy.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Give accurate information to visitors 100% of the time.
• Serve a diversified public with a positive, professional attitude.
• Effectively market Center products and programs to customers.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare accurate daily balance reports.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area.
• Assist in inventory activities.
• Welcome guests to the theater and assist in seating.
• Make clear, professional public announcements.
• Monitor theater during shows and report technical problems.
