Job summary

The Illinois Department of Corrections is hiring a Visitor Coordinator to support the Clinical Services Unit and manage visitation for individuals in custody. The role requires attention to detail, strong keyboarding skills, and the ability to handle inquiries from civilians.

This is a fully in-office position with a standard 8:00 am–4:00 pm schedule, Mon–Fri, with weekends off. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including health and retirement programs.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and two years of office experience.
• Must be able to keyboard 45 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage visitor communications for individuals in custody and civilians.
• Receive and route visitor information forms and inquiries.
• Print daily visitation schedules and assist with Clinical Services as needed.
• Serve as back-up receptionist for Clinical Services.
