Job summary

Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center is seeking a part-time administrative team member to join our lively crew in beautiful Sedona. Weekend and open/close availability required (8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.).

You will greet visitors, share local trail, dining and event information, handle cash for merchandise, and assist with inquiries about accommodations and transportation. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who love hospitality and the outdoors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, guest services, hospitality or tourism.
• Good to extensive knowledge of Sedona's Red Rock Trail district.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Cash handling and POS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information on trails, attractions and events.
• Assist visitors with accommodations, dining options, activities and transportation.
• Open and close the visitor center per SOP.
• Handle cash transactions for merchandise.
• Resolve concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Promote events, tours and activities to boost engagement.
• Represent the visitor center at local events.

Duties

• Greet visitors warmly and provide accurate information about local hiking trails, attractions, events and amenities
• Assist visitors with inquiries regarding accommodations, dining options, outdoor activities and transportation
• Open and close the visitor center according to standard operating procedures
• Handle cash transactions accurately for merchandise sales
• Resolve concerns or conflicts promptly with professionalism and empathy
• Promote upcoming events, tours, or activities to enhance visitor engagement
• Support community outreach efforts by representing the visitor center at local events

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service, guest services, hospitality or tourism roles
• Good to extensive knowledge of the Red Rock Trail district
• Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
