Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Availability Friday, Saturday and Sunday; hours vary with events.
• Professional, positive attitude representing Visit Bentonville.
• Able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with common office tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain knowledge of Bentonville’s tourism offerings.
• Provide friendly support to visitors in person, by phone, and online.
• Track daily visitor interactions and referrals to local partners.
• Maintain welcoming center by organizing brochures and materials.
• Assist with inventory management and storage of visitor guides.
• Update internal databases and systems as needed.
• Enter visitor information into spreadsheets and tracking tools.
• Process sales at the point of sale with accuracy.
• Keep the space clean, organized, and inviting.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Visitor Experience Host serves as Visit Bentonville's first point of welcome for guests exploring our vibrant community. This essential role embodies our commitment to promoting Bentonville as a premier destination for all by providing warm hospitality and expert knowledge of local and regional attractions. Through exceptional service and genuine enthusiasm, this position directly supports our mission to enhance quality of life and stimulate economic development by creating memorable experiences that inspire visitors to explore, stay longer, and return often. They must perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner with good character and ethical behavior.

Roles & Responsibilities

These responsibilities reflect the heart of the Visitor Center Host role and may evolve as needed to best serve our visitors and community.

• Build and maintain a strong knowledge of Bentonville's tourism offerings, including lodging, shopping, dining, attractions, events, exhibits, and seasonal experiences

• Provide friendly, helpful support to visitors in person, by phone, and through online inquiries

• Track daily visitor interactions, reservations, and referrals to local tourism partners

• Keep the Visitors Center welcoming and well-stocked by organizing and replenishing brochures and materials

• Support inventory management, ordering, and storage of visitors guides and promotional materials

• Assist with maintaining and updating internal databases and systems

• Enter and organize visitor information from the registry into spreadsheets and tracking tools

• Support retail operations, including processing sales and handling transactions with accuracy and care

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting space by completing daily upkeep tasks

• Pitch in on additional tasks as needed to support the team and enhance the visitor experience

What you bring to the role

• This position requires availability Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hours may vary due to events, season, or business needs

• 1 year customer service experience preferred

• A professional, positive attitude with a strong sense of integrity and price in representing Bentonville and our brand

• The ability to stay organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities with care and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills

• Comfort using common workplace tools and systems, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, and database platforms (experience with Simpleview is a plus)

• Ability to use everyday office and retail equipment, including phones, computers, and point-of-sale systems.
