Job summary

Galileo Learning is seeking a Camp Director to lead our K–8 summer camps. You will be the site General Manager, the public face of the organization, and responsible for creating joyful, safe environments and delivering exceptional camper and family experiences.

You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location within your community, lead a dynamic seasonal team of educators, and ensure smooth daily operations while upholding program quality and customer care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven ability to set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and coach staff.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations including safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of your camp’s launch from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Lead a seasonal team of educators and entry-level staff to deliver joyful, safe programs.
• Uphold program quality, foster creativity, and ensure strong camper and family experiences.
• Oversee daily operations and parent/family communication with a focus on safety and fidelity.
• Coordinate scheduling and payroll, and coach staff to meet expectations.
