Job summary

Sunshine Enterprise USA LLC in Orlando, Florida, is conducting an executive search for the Superintendent of Orange County Public Schools (OCPS). This senior leadership role requires strategic direction, strong stakeholder engagement, and a track record of improving student outcomes within a large urban district.

The role oversees district-wide educational and operational strategies, budget management, and collaboration with principals, teachers, and administrators to drive district priorities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Education or Educational Leadership.
• Significant senior-level leadership in K-12 education.
• Experience managing large school systems or complex educational organizations.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, and student achievement.
• Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational leadership.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and community engagement skills.
• Ethical leadership and accountability track record.
• Ability to work with a diverse student, employee, and community population.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the school district.
• Develop and execute district-wide educational and operational strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in student achievement and academic outcomes.
• Lead and support principals, administrators, teachers, and district personnel.
• Manage district operations, budgets, resources, and long-term planning.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, educators, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Promote an inclusive, student-centered culture across the district.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local education requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the School Board on district priorities and initiatives.
• Represent the district effectively with community and governmental stakeholders.
• Lead organizational change and support innovation in K-12 education.
