Job summary

Sunshine Enterprise USA LLC in Orlando, Florida, is conducting an executive search for the Superintendent of Orange County Public Schools (OCPS). This senior leadership role requires strategic direction, strong stakeholder engagement, and a track record of improving student outcomes within a large urban district.

The role oversees district-wide educational and operational strategies, budget management, and collaboration with principals, teachers, and administrators to drive district priorities.

Qualifications

Position Overview

Sunshine Enterprise USA is conducting an executive search for the Superintendent of Orange County Public Schools (OCPS). This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced K-12 education professional who can provide strategic direction, strengthen student outcomes, engage the community, and lead a large and diverse school district.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, or a related field preferred/required based on applicable district requirements.
  
• Significant senior-level leadership experience in K-12 education.
  
• Proven experience managing complex educational organizations or large school systems.
  
• Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, student achievement, and school improvement.
  
• Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational leadership.
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and community engagement skills.
  
• Strong record of ethical leadership and accountability.
  
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student, employee, and community population.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Chief Academic Officer, Principal, or comparable senior K-12 leadership role.
  
• Experience leading large or diverse school districts.
  
• Experience working with a public school board and community stakeholders.
  
• Knowledge of Florida K-12 education policies and regulations.
