Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Director of Therapy Operations to lead, develop, and supervise our Therapy Services across inpatient rehabilitation programs. You will drive quality patient care, staff development, and overall operational performance.

Ideal candidates hold a current state license in PT, OT, or SLP, with 5+ years of rehabilitation experience including 2+ years in management. A collaborative, data-driven leader who champions compassionate care will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Current State license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
• BLS(CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in professional management areas preferred.
• Minimum of five years of rehabilitation experience, including two years in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, implement, and communicate policies, processes, and procedures, holding staff accountable for their roles and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to educate staff and the community about awareness, prevention, and treatment options. Develop and support clinical affiliations and relationships with educational institutions.
• Use historical data and emerging trends to forecast operational revenues and expenses and make recommendations based on internal and external market conditions for potential salary adjustments.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of state, federal, and professional regulatory requirements for program reimbursement, business standards, legal issues, and documentation requirements, and apply them to program operations and departments. Educate and communicate updates and changes in standards to the staff and advise the CEO on needs for effective operation.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited therapy program

Master's or Doctorate degree in professional management areas preferred
