Job summary

AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next chapter, reporting to the Board and guiding a team of about 35 staff. The CEO will shape strategy, strengthen partnerships with state agencies and aging networks, and ensure high-quality, person-centered services for older adults and caregivers.

Qualifications

Experience leading a senior leadership team in a nonprofit or aging-services organization.
Strong understanding of governance, fiduciary duties, and risk management.
Proven ability to engage with government agencies, funders, and community partners.

Responsibilities

Translate AgeGuide’s strategic plan into clear priorities, goals, and action.
Provide executive oversight across programs, finance, HR, technology, compliance and risk.
Cultivate relationships with elected officials and government agencies to secure resources.
Strengthen the funded partner network and ensure high-quality, person-centered services.
Oversee compliance with federal and state requirements and audit readiness.
Lead public policy initiatives and strategic partnerships to diversify revenue.
