Job summary

Silgan is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Tolleson, AZ to set up, program, adjust, and repair manufacturing vision systems across production lines. You will ensure programs stay aligned with the schedule and record performance data while assisting with major electrical/mechanical problems alongside suppliers and maintenance staff.

Requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years in a similar role, preferably with plastic injection molding exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Maintenance Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience in plastic injection molding environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, adjust and repair manufacturing vision systems.
• Record data and ensure sample closures meet specs.
• Ensure vision programs align with production schedule.
• Troubleshoot major issues with machinery suppliers.
• Report daily performance and line issues.
• Support PMs and maintenance repairs with technicians.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
• Provide on-call support.

What you'll do:

• Sets up, programs, adjust and repair manufacturing vision systems.
• Uses a variety of sample parts and techniques to ensure bad sample closures are rejected and record data into computer system.
• Responsible for making sure that all vision programs for each line match production schedule.
• Work with machinery suppliers to troubleshoot any major mechanical or electrical problems that cannot be solved internally.
• Reports daily performance/issues on vision check form and communicate with oncoming technician any changes, problems or issues with the line(s).
• Works alongside the maintenance technicians on PMs/Maintenance repairs.
• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned.
• On-call support.

What you’ll need to have:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Maintenance Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar position.
• Experience in plastic injection molding environment.
