Job summary

Silgan Closures in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Vision Systems Technician to maintain and repair plastic injection molding line vision systems. The role involves programming, testing sample parts, and ensuring alignment with production schedules.

You will collaborate with maintenance and machinery suppliers, document daily performance, and participate in preventive maintenance. This on-site day shift offers benefits and growth opportunities within a Fortune 500 packaging company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Maintenance Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience in a plastic injection molding environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, programs, adjust and repair manufacturing vision systems.
• Uses a variety of sample parts and techniques to ensure bad sample closures are rejected and record data into computer system.
• Responsible for making sure that all vision programs for each line match production schedule.
• Work with machinery suppliers to troubleshoot any major mechanical or electrical problems that cannot be solved internally.
• Reports daily performance/issues on vision check form and communicate with oncoming technician any changes, problems or issues with the line(s).
• Works alongside the maintenance technicians on PMs/Maintenance repairs.
• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned.
• On-call support.

What you'll do:

What you'll need to have:
