Job summary
Amphenol Corporation seeks a Process Engineer - Vision Systems to lead global machine-vision and automated-inspection initiatives. Based in Valley Green, PA, you will own readiness, develop new inspection technologies, and deploy standardized solutions across CBS manufacturing sites.
You will define roadmaps for 2D/3D vision, AI-assisted inspection, and OCR/OCV, partnering with sites worldwide. Travel 30–50% to enable deployments and ramp production efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechanical/Manufacturing or related field.
- 5+ years in machine-vision, automated inspection, or related areas preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cameras, lighting, and inspection algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Serve as CBS global technical process owner for machine-vision and inspection systems.
- Define vision-technology roadmap and evaluate 2D/3D vision and AI inspection.
- Translate requirements into measurable inspection specs and criteria.
- Develop robust vision solutions with cameras, lighting, and software.
- Deploy repeatable factory solutions globally via specifications and validation.
- Own vision-system readiness through EVT/DVT/PVT and ramp phases.
- Lead GR&R, validation, and production correlation studies.
- Develop scalable inspection platforms and architectures.
- Integrate vision with PLCs, robots, MES, and data systems.
- Lead global deployment, training, and site enablement.
