Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks an NPI Engineer - Laser Welding in Valley Green, PA. You will serve as the global process owner for laser welding, driving readiness from EVT to MP ramp and deploying production-ready solutions across CBS factories.

The role requires DOE, process development, and qualification expertise, with 30–50% travel and close collaboration with Product Engineering to optimize welds, tooling, and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3–5 years hands-on industrial laser-welding or related experience preferred.
• Experience with DOE, SPC, and process validation is required.

Responsibilities

• Own laser-welding process readiness across CBS sites from prototype to production ramp.
• Define roadmap for laser-welding tech, evaluate sources, beam delivery, and automation.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering on joint geometry, tolerances, and manufacturability.
