Job summary

Stark Pharma Solutions Inc is seeking a Principal-level Vision Systems Engineer to support automated visual inspection operations for injectable products at a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Albany, NY. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting KRber/Seidenader SVIM vision systems on the production floor.

Hands-on experience with Krber (formerly Seidenader) visual inspection machines and the SVIM module is the core requirement for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, physics or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in vision systems or automated visual inspection in pharma manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience tuning Krber/Seidenader visual inspection machines and SVIM is strongly preferred.
• Experience with other machine-vision platforms is acceptable with transferable skills.
• Experience with camera systems, lighting, optics and inspection recipe development.
• Working knowledge of cGMP, equipment qualification and change control.
• Experience with sterile fill-finish or injectable product inspection preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and cross-functional communication skills.
• Must work onsite in Albany, NY; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate inspection recipes to hit detection targets while reducing false rejects.
• Lead camera, lighting and optics setup and performance optimization.

• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Automation on the floor.
• Author and review inspection documentation, recipes and performance reports.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators and junior engineers.

Vision Systems Engineer Automated Visual Inspection (Seidenader / SVIM), Pharmaceutical

JOB SUMMARY:

Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Albany, New York, is seeking a Principal-level Vision Systems Engineer to support automated visual inspection operations for injectable products. This is a hands‑on, onsite role focused on tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting machine‑vision inspection systems on the production floor. Hands‑on experience with K rber (formerly Seidenader) visual inspection machines and the SVIM machine‑vision module is the core requirement for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tune, optimize and troubleshoot automated visual inspection equipment for injectable products including vials, syringes and ampoules
• Configure and operate machine-vision inspection recipes using SVIM and SVObserver, or equivalent vision platforms
• Develop, adjust and validate inspection recipes to achieve required detection rates while controlling false reject levels
• Lead camera, lighting and optics setup, alignment and performance optimization
• Support equipment commissioning, qualification and change control activities within a cGMP environment
• Investigate inspection performance issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Automation teams on the production floor
• Author and review technical documentation, recipes, work instructions and inspection performance reports
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators and junior engineers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience in vision systems or automated visual inspection within pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Hands‑on experience tuning K rber / Seidenader visual inspection machines and SVIM is strongly preferred
• Candidates with deep expertise in other machine-vision platforms like Cognex, Omron, Syntegon, Brevetti CEA, Stevanato or Antares Vision will be considered where transferability can be demonstrated
• Experience with camera systems, lighting, optics and inspection recipe development
• Working knowledge of cGMP, equipment qualification and change control in a regulated environment
• Experience with sterile fill-finish or injectable product inspection preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and cross-functional communication skills
• Must be able to work onsite in Albany, New York
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
