Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a Vision Services Program Support staff member to provide instructional, programmatic, and material assistance for visually impaired students. You will help develop accessible materials, support adaptive tech, and collaborate with teachers and families to ensure timely access to instruction.

Responsibilities include assisting with FVAs/LMAs, supporting small groups, maintaining resource libraries, and contributing to program documentation and logistics

Qualifications

• Accessible instructional materials development and adaptation experience.
• Familiarity with assistive technology for visual impairments.
• Ability to organize and maintain instructional resources and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to students with visual impairments, individually or in small groups.
• Develop and prepare accessible instructional materials (large print, braille-ready docs, tactile graphics).
• Organize, maintain, and distribute instructional resources and equipment.
• Support implementation of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with Vision Services staff, families, and school personnel to ensure access to instruction.
• Maintain records of instructional activities, material production, and project progress.
