Job summary

Walmart Brooksville Vision Center in Brooksville, FL is seeking an experienced Optical Department lead to drive sales growth through effective merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution in a busy retail environment.

You will forecast sales trends, align product assortments with member needs and local demographics, supervise staff, coordinate labs, perform eyewear measurements and fittings under optometric supervision, ensure HIPAA compliant documentation, and

Qualifications

Completion of 2+ years of college.
1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience.
2 years of general work experience, including 1 year optical experience and high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Active ABO licensure/registration.

Responsibilities

Lead department sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution.
Forecast sales trends and align product assortments with member needs and local demographics.
Monitor competitive pricing and adjust strategies to strengthen market relevance and achieve financial targets.
Lead community outreach to promote optical services, expand brand presence, and strengthen local relationships.
Oversee precise eyewear measurements, fittings, adjustments, and contact lens education under optometric supervision.
Ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation and high service standards in addressing member inquiries and concerns.
