Job summary

Walmart Florence is seeking an Optical Department Leader to drive sales growth through merchandising, pricing, and inventory oversight while delivering high-quality customer service under optometric supervision.

You will oversee eyewear measurements, fittings, and education, coordinate with the Optometrist, and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation and efficient operations in a busy Vision Center environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years college or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience alternative.
• 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience and high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical department operations and staff, ensuring service standards.
• Coordinate eyewear measurements, fittings, and adjustments with optometric supervision.
• Manage appointment flow, patient records, and HIPAA compliance.
• Support lab communications, inventory, and order processing with vendors.
