Job summary

Target Optical is seeking an enthusiastic Optometric Technician to deliver exceptional patient service and support the care delivered by our Optometrists. You will greet guests, explain paperwork and testing, and assist with contact lens orders and billing in a fast-paced retail optical setting.

Ideal candidates bring at least one year of guest service experience, strong communication skills, and basic math ability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year guest service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Basic math and cash handling experience.
• Team oriented and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive service.
• Explain store and optical processes to guests.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Process contact lens orders and invoices.
• Operate the POS system and collect payments.
• Maintain clean, organized displays and store safety.
• Disinfect and inventory contact lenses; support the Optometrist.
