Job summary

Target Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an Optometric Technician to deliver exceptional patient service and support the optometrist with precise testing and eyewear readiness in Myrtle Beach.

You will greet guests, perform pre-examination testing, manage records, assist with lens orders, and maintain clean, organized displays while following safety procedures. Minimum one year guest service and HS diploma required; POS knowledge beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year strong guest service skills.
• High School Graduate / GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong communicator and listener to guests and associates.
• Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient).
• Sales skills and knowledge of store merchandise.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests without delay when they enter; shows urgency in providing service.
• Determines the reason for the guest's visit and explains shopping/workflow at Target Optical or Doctor's office.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with Opticians/Doctor when needed.
• Maintains patient records in an organized and efficient manner; ensures accuracy of data.
• Operates POS system and processes payments following procedures.
• Maintains clean, attractive displays and assists with inventory and lens orders.
